Public forest of Sklithro |
It is a public forest of the Municipality of Melivoia and it belongs to the district of Sklithro according to the decision made by the Ministry of Agriculture.
The forest is located south east of Larisa and spans over the east-northeast part of Mavrovouni at an altitude of up to 855metres.

It is a public area according to the decision (8775/1993) of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The forest in Melivoia borders to the east with the Aegean, to the west with the Prefecture of Agia, the forest of Megalovriso and the public forest of Megalovriso, to the north with the public forest of Ossa (Kissavos) and to south with the Prefecture of Sotiritsa.

Every year at the end of May, the Municipality of Melivoia is awarded for its beaches with the Blue Flag. Specifically, in the summer of 2006, the beaches that were awarded the Blue Flag were: Coast Velika (Spitaki), Coast Ano Sotiritsa, Coast Agiokambos 1 and Coast Agiokambos 2. For the summer of 2007 there were 3 nominees (Coast Velika (Spitaki), Coast Agiokambos 1 and Coast Agiokambos 2) which await their award.
